Three Year-Old Preschool

Sacred Heart Preschool

Children need to be three by September 15th in order to enroll in the preschool program. Medical examinations and immunization records are required for all children to attend school. Children will not be required to wear uniforms.

The Manzer Family Early Childhood Center and Preschool utilize Creative Curriculum, which is well developed, research-based, and age appropriate for children ages 2-5 years. Additionally, our curriculum addresses the social, emotional, physical, spiritual, mental, and educational development of children. Our three year old preschool program encourages growth in relationship to readiness for the pre-kindergarten program in our school.

Children are taught using a variety of stimuli that encourage and appeal to a variety of learning styles and promote fine and gross motor skills. Health and language development are also integral parts of the curriculum. We provide activities in directed and free play, active and quiet play, indoor and outdoor programs, and both group and individual experiences.

Some of the skills focused on include: socialization, fine and gross motor skill development, creative expression through play, art and music, intellectual development in language, numbers, sizes and shapes, colors, alphabet, time awareness, matching and classification, directionality, and body awareness. Children, especially three year old preschoolers, also begin to learn to share, take turns, listen and follow directions, wait, give and take, care for and about each other, play cooperatively with others, and develop a positive self-identity.
