Early Childhood Center Named for The Manzer Family
A Spencer, Iowa, family’s gift to Sacred Heart Catholic School and Parish helped the parish to create a new early childhood center. Sacred Heart is blessed to receive this generous donation from the Manzer family.

Why Sacred Heart?

The Sacred Heart Early Childhood Program is an early learning program, under the umbrella of the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS). A certified, trained individual will serve as the director of the program with oversight from school administration. All childcare personnel will have the training necessary to meet or exceed DHS requirements, with the expectation to be Christian role models for the children.

Class sizes are limited by state guidelines to 16 three-year-old children and 12 two-year-old children per classroom. The Center will have two classrooms for each age group and can accommodate a total of 56 children.

The Early Childhood Center will operate year round. The Center will be closed all major holidays.

The Manzer Family Early Childhood Center will close for inclement weather only when the Director and Principal deem it absolutely necessary for the safety of the children, families and staff members.
